The original version of this colorway was sported by Michael Jordan on the way to his 5th Championship.  The shoe was retro'd again in 2008 and one more time in 2012, which is the version pictured above.

A LOOK BACK - AIR JORDAN XII "FRENCH BLUE"

Its been kinda drizzly out, so a nice heavy bootlike pair of 12s comes in handy.  Peep a couple new shots below (click to enlarge) and my O.G. review here.

AIR JORDAN XII "CHERRY"

Twelves tend to not be feature/detail-heavy; this pair gets its name from the red part of the colorway, with the black stripe going up the back pulltab somewhat resembling a stem.  The AJXII was also the first signature Jordan model to feature zoom air.

AIR JORDAN XII "FRENCH BLUE"

In 2004, several retros of the AJ12 appeared, one of them being this colorway. These were initially slept on but now a collector's favorite!  The AJXII itself is said to be based off of both a women's dress boot from the 1800's and a rising sun, hence the interesting stitching/construction on the uppers.  These are named after the colorway.
