SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK LOW SB "KUWAHARA ET"

This pair of shoes was a quickstrike release in 2008 and draws its inspiration from the bicycle featured in the movie ET. Initially, these released in Mexico, eventually turning up in a limited capacity in the U.S.

Here's a picture of them on foot:

MATERIALS: These are all patent leather except the swoosh which is leather. They have a white midsole with black stitching and outsole. My pair came with white sb laces.
FEATURES: Besides the gradient from front to back and the red contrast stitching around the toebox, the main feature would be the image of a basket (as in the kind you would have on the front of a bicycle) stitched onto the upper back where "NIKE" would normally appear
STREET VALUE: $150-200
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are pretty comfortable for an all patent leather shoe, I've heard of some people having to go up in size, but these fit true for me. The toebox is definitely going to crease after a few wears as is typical of patent leather. On a positive note, this shoe is really easy to clean dirt off of. Scuffs of course are a different matter. Red and white don't really tie to a season, but these are a fairly safe bet even if the weather's a little wet!
