Here we have a retro of the ever-popular Air Jordan XI, this time in the Concord colorway.  Of course, long lines and mass hysteria came about when these released.

This particular pair of Jordan 13s is a retro of an original color scheme and referred to by some as the "bred" colorway.  A key difference between these and previous retros is a lack of 3M on the mesh portions of the shoe.  The other change would be the darker shade of red used on this newer version.

Its tough to say where the nickname for these came from other than the red/purple color combo.  There is a similar colorway with grey on parts of the uppers that sometimes is also called the Raptor VII, however this retro is closer to the OG colorway.
