These Jordan 1 retros came out in 2009, and are definitely not the first pair to have metallic accents. They released alongside a red pair and a more limited purple pair in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Spike Lee film "Do the Right Thing". Although not huge with collectors (likely due to the deluge of J1 colorways releasing at the time), these are definitely a clean colorway and in my opinion a very good add to any fan of 1s.
