SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR MAX 95 "SLATE"

"The air bubbles arent teal!"..."The navy to slate gradient is nonexistent!" These are comments made by AM95 heads about the newest retro of the "slate" colorway that released this year. The previous version released in 2005, but the 2010 retro had the aforementioned changes made, which put these off the radar for many sneaker collectors. That's too bad, because these shoes are definitely a nice pair!

Here's a picture of them on foot:

MATERIALS: The slate blue and black parts of the uppers are very short haired suede, with green accents on the tongue and swoosh, and blue accents on the lace holes. The white uppers are leather. There are also portions of mesh surrounding the laceholes and on the toebox. The middle of the tongue is 3M reflective material. The midsole is white, with the blue color coming through the air bubbles. The sole has both black and blue portions. The laces are white.
FEATURES: Nothing really special about this pair besides the general awesomeness of it being an Air Max 95 - this model is usually great even if it is made with less than stellar materials.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These fit true to size and as is typical of Air Max 95s, they are exceptionally comfortable. The white area on the toebox might crease but only on the leather part which is only a small section. The blue suede parts are of course the areas to be conscious of for dirt and water, and as usual the 3M can chip. I'd focus on just keeping the uppers clean; the white midsole will get dingy but this can be easily wiped off. These shoes are pretty much a spring and summer shoe. I have found these look great with shorts, maybe even better than with pants!
