SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK HIGH SB "UN-HEAVEN'S GATE"

Back in 2007, skater Todd Jordan was collaborating with Nike on the design of a dunk high sb based off of the Heaven's Gate cult from 10 years before. The design featured a dark upper with purple accents on the laceholes and a teal interior. Due to possible bad publicity, Nike never released these shoes except for the now very valuable samples. Instead, in 2009 these were released and were quickly dubbed the "Un" version of the samples due to the similar but flipped colorway.

Here's a picture of them on foot:MATERIALS: The toebox, upper rear, swoosh, and panel around the swoosh are leather, the rest is suede. There's an offwhite midsole with dark blue stitching and a purple outsole. My pair came with offwhite and black sb laces.
FEATURES: These have no special features and are named after their slight resemblence to the sample that never released.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are really comfortable. The toebox on mine creased pretty quickly. The dark suede has gotten a couple rain drops on there and has so far not really shown any water spots. This shoe might just be more rugged than it looks. I'd say these are a winter shoe with the use of dark blue and purple with no white on the shoe. Pair them with a purple or navy tee and you're good to go!
