SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK LOW SB "BROOKLYN PROJECTS"

These dropped in early 2009, with design by Dan C of streetwear/skate shop Brooklyn Projects. While not received with great acclaim by collectors, this shoe has risen to become one of my personal favorites.

Here's a picture of them on foot:

MATERIALS: The entire upper is leather, however the toebox and side panel have a distressed quality to them which almost gives them a nubuck/short hair suede type feel. They have a yellowish midsole with matching stitching and a brown outsole. My pair came with red and yellow sb laces.
FEATURES: These dunks have no special features aside from the wild colorway and unique material on the toebox and side panel.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are very VERY comfortable and fit true to size. My toebox hasn't creased on me yet, I'm a bit surprised but it might be the material used, although I could still see these creasing in the future. The leather make of the shoe makes it easy to keep clean, although I've never had to clean the sides or toeboxes, so please use caution when getting these areas wet or otherwise attempting to clean. These are a great shoe that matches a variety of bright spring and summer outfits. While the shoe doesn't jump out and scream "winter", I could see swapping in some white or cream laces to bring the shoe down enough for wear in December. Overall a neckbreaking shoe that's guaranteed to get attention and pop right off your feet!
