A relatively recent release, these shoes were not well received by the sneakerhead community. Some reasons include the patterns and materials used on the shoe and of course the dreaded thin tongue. This colorway is very reminiscent of the classic Shanghai I's.
Here's a picture of them on foot:MATERIALS: The uppers are suede except the toebox which is leather, the swoosh which is patent leather, and the middle rear which is some kind of cloth or canvas material. The midsole is white with yellow stitching and a red outsole. My pair came with white and red sb laces.
FEATURES: These feature a special print on the tongue and middle rear just behind the wing that are supposed to represent a tie pattern; the shoe in its entirety is based off of the suit the character Ron Burgundy wore in the movie Anchorman.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are very comfortable although they will need to be broken in for a few minutes. Watch for creasing on the toebox and water spots on the red suede. Avoid any liquids and you should be good to go as the toebox and midsole will wipe down easily. These are definite fall shoes with the burgundy upper and dark blue parts of the tongue, and actually go pretty well with a red polo or button up in a business casual type setting.
