SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK HIGH SB "FADED DENIM"

There were a few preview pictures floating around various shoe-related websites and forums before this dunk high dropped in early 2011.  Some of these pics were obviously samples because they offered conflicting ideas of how the shoe was going to turn out.  Some depicted a weird blue shade to the uppers while some had a gray swoosh on the side instead of black.  In any case, the finished product is definitely awesome and actually sold out on a few sites rather quickly.  If you're a fan of denim shoes, I'd hop on these while you still can!

MATERIALS: The uppers are all denim.  The midsole is white with matching stitching and a black outsole.  Mine came with black and white sb laces.
FEATURES: These are fairly plain for dunk sb's and get their name from the material.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are very comfortable, a bit surprising since the material lead me to believe these would be a bit stiff.  The toebox is not likely to crease for at least a couple of wears and the dark denim should not reflect dirt that easily.  The shoe in general exudes a rugged vibe, like it could take some punishment!  Keep the midsole nice and clean and the shoe will stay fresh looking for a while.  These are kind of a winter shoe because of the dark colors used but honestly could pass any time of year; a swap to the white laces will easily brighten the look of the shoe.  The only problem I have is how to put together an outfit with these; that odd shade used on the majority of the upper is tough to match or compliment.  It's not even really clear if its more blue, green, or gray.  I wound up going with a black tee that has some green accents on it and it seems to do the job well enough.  I could also see a dark gray or olive top perhaps working with these as well.
