SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR MAX 1 "CREPE"

Pretty much your standard tonal gray pair of AM1s right?  Wrong!  These bad boys have a special feature: the sole is the same as that of a pair of Clarks Wallabees, also known as a "crepe" sole.  Three colorways released in 2010 with the special bottoms but in my opinion these are the cleanest pair.
MATERIALS: The gray uppers are leather, the white parts are a canvas-type material, and the swoosh is faux horsehair. They have a white midsole with white showing through the air bubble and a gum outsole. They come with white laces.
FEATURES: Other than the sole, there's nothing too crazy about this pair of AM's
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are very comfortable if not slightly heavy for AM1's. The special sole does ad a little more "squish" when you walk in these, so I'd say they are definitely a half notch better in terms of overall comfort.  The toebox may eventually crease, but even worse is the fact that the gray and white colorway makes these dirt magnets.  Take extra care in keeping these clean and make sure the sole is cleaned after every wear to keep these looking new.  A white top and some jeans or khakis easily completes a summer look with these.
