This Bob Kronbauer-designed 2010 release is based off of the area around the steps at the Raoul Wallenberg Alternative School in San Francisco. The colors and insole graphic represent the palm tree there and the two-toned midsole symbolizes the actual stairs. Being a part of the thin-tongue blue box era with odd lace choices and that strange midsole pretty much guaranteed that these would not be very popular among sneakerheads, however these are one of the more story-intensive sb's of late and definitely an interesting add to any dunk sb collection.
MATERIALS: The light green areas, swoosh and panel around the swoosh are all hemp, the rest is suede. These have a black-topped white midsole with black stitching and outsole. These come with white and green round skinny laces
FEATURES: Aside from the atypical laces, these have the aforementioned special print on the insole.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are fairly comfortable. The toebox will wrinkle, then eventually crease. The hemp can show dirt easily and the green suede can get spotty, so avoid wearing these around liquid/rain or anywhere too dingy/dusty to preserve a crisp look on these. There are a couple of different ways you can rock these depending on the lace choice. Either of the included opens up the shoe to a white top with green accents or vice versa, whereas some black sb laces would allow the shoe to be paired with a black or dark green tee.
