Funny how something can be hated when it releases to the world, only to become sought after later. One example would be the shoe up for review today, the Nike Dunk Low SB "Barf", which was assigned its nickname initially because the color scheme was considered bad.
Here's a picture of them on foot:
MATERIALS: The brown parts are suede/nubuck, and the blue and green parts are leather. The midsole is dark green (almost black) with brown stitching, with a gum outsole. My pair came with dark green laces.
FEATURES: This is one of the earlier models where the tongue wasn't stuffed as much as later sb dunks.
STREET VALUE: $140-$190
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These fit true to size and are really, really comfortable right out of the box. The skinnier tongue means they will look like they are laced a little tighter. The toebox will crease quickly. The brown suede although seemingly dark will show water spots and stains reallllly easily. It is also some of the softest suede/nubuck you could lay a finger on. This shoe's colors make it perfect for fall by default, but it can also be worn in a business casual setting any time of the year. Pairing a polo or tee with the blue will make these wearable in other brighter seasons, whereas a green, brown, or black top will make them stand out as an autumn shoe.
