SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK LOW CL "THOUGHT EDITION"

For some nike skateboarding shoe fanatics, many non-sb or "general release" dunks might fall by the wayside due to their high availability, lack of a puffy tongue, or non-existant basis for the colorway. But where some sneakerheads see a negative, others see opportunity for customization. Not to mention dope colorways and materials! Today we have one of the colorways of the "thought edition" pack.

Here's a picture of them on foot:

MATERIALS: The yellow parts are short haired suede, and the white swoosh and black toebox are leather. The panel in the middle is a threaded basketweave pattern. The midsole is light gray with gray stitching, and a yellow speckled outsole. My pair came with yellow and black flat laces.
FEATURES: These dunks received the customization treatment from me; the tongues were stuffed for style and comfort, sb laces were added, and some Wu-Tang lacelocks inserted in the front, effectively turning these "thought editions" into "Wu-Tang Lows". The insoles have a print on them as well.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: CL is supposed to stand for "comfort lining". I'm not sure what that means on these dunks vs other dunks, but they are very comfortable after a short break in period. These fit true to size if not slightly roomy. A lot of the room is taken up by stuffing the tongue so if they fit a little loose that may be a practical solution. The toebox will crease but not as bad as one would have thought, even after a few wears. The yellow suede is not buttery in the least and will reflect any stains and watermarks so definitely watch where you're going when you're wearing these. This shoe's colors are somewhat neutral season-wise... Ordinarily yellow would be a summer color but the black and grey make it adaptable for any season.
