SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK LOW SB "GRITS"

These pretty much flew under the radar when they released in 2004, probably due to what some felt was a "bland" colorway, and consequentially were a fairly easy find at the time. However, the quality of the materials on the shoe is superb and now these definitely show up on collector's radars. Nowadays it's tough to find pairs in common sizes at all, especially in good condition!

Here's a picture of them on foot:MATERIALS: The uppers are all soft, distressed-looking leather. They have a gray midsole with matching stitching and a gum outsole. My pair came with two sets of gray laces.
FEATURES: These have no features to speak of and get their nickname from the colorway.
STREET VALUE: $120
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are amazingly comfortable. The entire shoe is a crease magnet, but this shoe is almost made to gain a weathered look. In other words, to a certain degree the more broken in these are, the more character they take on. The leather definitely can get dry, which means when water spots get on these it might almost appear as a stain. Use caution when cleaning these with liquid as too much in spots could give the uppers an uneven look. This is basically a fall/winter shoe due to the downplayed colorway and simple, featureless construction.
