SNEAKER REVIEW - NIKE BLAZER "JACKIE ROBINSON"

These released last year in 3 colorways with different materials on the uppers, paying homage to Jackie Robinson and the Brooklyn Dodgers. It's been said that the special splatter effect is supposed to symbolize Robinson breaking the color barrier in baseball.

Here's a picture of them on foot:MATERIALS: The uppers are all short-haired suede/nubuck except the swoosh and upper heel which are leather. They have a white midsole and bottom. My pair came with white flat laces, switched to white sb laces here.
FEATURES: There are three prime features that standout on the shoe. First is the Brooklyn in old Dodgers script on the tongue. Secondly and most obvious is the paint splatter design around the swoosh, upper heel, and above the midsole. Finally, these have a shiny, clear "B" logo patterned across the blue uppers except the toebox and laceholes.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are comfortable if not a little long. The toebox may crease on these eventually, although my pair hasn't yet. That blue suede/nubuck will reflect water stains poorly so as usual keep the shoes away from puddles, rain, and other liquids and use care when cleaning. These are basically a summer shoe with the blue and white, but the dark shade of blue makes it workable in later seasons as well.
