SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR TOTAL MAX UPTEMPO "BRED"

A new colorway on a sneaker that released over 10 years ago, the bred (black+red) uptempos aren't exactly a hit with collectors but get major points for being a clean colorway with decent materials.  The original uptempos released in the late 90s and these stay pretty true in terms of materials, only featuring a slightly smaller air unit. Reggie Miller, David Robinson and a young Vince Carter all are supposedly among the players to rock this model in a game.

MATERIALS: The toebox is nubuck, as well as the eyelets which are bordered by a patent leather strip, while the rest is leather except for the patent leather swoosh. There is a metallic "AIR" badge on the rear of the shoe.  The midsole is black with red showing through the air unit and a red outsole. My pair came with black laces.
FEATURES: As with most uptempos, these have no special features and get their name from the colorway.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are pretty heavy shoes, but comfortable. These pretty much will not crease or look dirty, just ashy on the black nubuck.  This can be cleaned with a suede brush so as long as the leather doesn't get scuffed and the sole is cleaned after every wear, these will stay fresh for a while.  These are a thick warm winter shoe and pair easily with a black or red top.
