AIR JORDAN XIII "BLACK/RED"

This particular pair of Jordan 13s is a retro of an original color scheme and referred to by some as the "bred" colorway.  A key difference between these and previous retros is a lack of 3M on the mesh portions of the shoe.  The other change would be the darker shade of red used on this newer version.

AIR JORDAN 1 KO HI "BRED"

Today I'm sporting a retro of an OG colorway of the AJ1 KO. These are a little better than the first KO's that retro'd in my opinion due to the lack of a pre-vintaged midsole. AIR JORDAN IV "BRED"

These are also known as the black cement 4's, even though there's no cement print on them.  They get their name from the colorway (black + red = bred).  This shoe was an original colorway of the AJIV; here we have the third retro edition.

Here we have a pair of the original Air Jordan XI.  Unlike some earlier models, these tend to hold up well over time and can still be wearable even now, with the biggest risk being separation of the sole from the rest of the shoe.

A LOOK BACK - AIR JORDAN 6 "BRED"

"Summer" is getting to be a joke out here.  Threw these on for the drizzly, cold weather as the only pair of b-grades i own.  Got 'em at the outlet for cheap and never looked back.  Check out a couple pics below (click to enlarge) and my original review here.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR JORDAN 1 "BULLS"

These released as part of a pack that included this pair and a white, black and green "Celtics" colorway in a special box to commemorate Michael Jordan hitting 63 points in a game in 1986.  This was the more popular of the two pairs in the package (the "bred" Air Jordan 1 is an O.G. colorway and has been retro'd several times).

A LOOK BACK - ZOOM KOBE IV "BRED"

The ground's wet, the forecast calls for rain...  I tell you, there's no one more aware of the weather than a sneakerhead!  Well, besides maybe a meteorologist.  Anyway, broke these out so I can stomp through any possible showers and happily watch the water bead up and wipe off the patent leather.  Sure, the more I wear these the more I crease said patent, however in terms of looking clean there's no amount of liquid that's going to damage the freshness of this shoe.  Check out some pre-rain pics I took this morning below along with my original review here.

AIR JORDAN XI "BRED"

The Air Jordan 11 was an instant classic and a contender for most popular AJ model.  Many credit the XI with bringing patent leather into the world of sneakers in an way that gave it broader appeal among men. This colorway released initially in 1995, retro'd in 2001, again as part of a countdown pack along with a pair of AJXII and one more time in 2012.  Today, we have the CDP XI - the insoles are slightly different on these then previous pairs (earlier releases did not say 2008 on them).

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR TOTAL MAX UPTEMPO "BRED"

A new colorway on a sneaker that released over 10 years ago, the bred (black+red) uptempos aren't exactly a hit with collectors but get major points for being a clean colorway with decent materials.  The original uptempos released in the late 90s and these stay pretty true in terms of materials, only featuring a slightly smaller air unit. Reggie Miller, David Robinson and a young Vince Carter all are supposedly among the players to rock this model in a game.

SNEAKER REVIEW - ZOOM KOBE IV "BRED"

This shoe along with the hyperdunk was a revolution in how light a basketball shoe could be. The IV is also a low-top which is crazy in a mostly high-top dominated sport. Still, this is one of the best basketball shoes for quicker smaller players, only surpassed by the Zoom Kobe V in terms of performance and the Kobe line. The ZKIV is one of the first in the Nike/Kobe shoe lineup that I've personally noticed collectors begin to seek out and popularize on a wide scale.

The term "BRED" in sneaker talk means a black and red colorway. These are basically the strapless red version of the jpack mids I previously reviewed.
