SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR FORCE 1 "JONES BEACH"

These shoes had a very limited release in 2009 in shops in and around Long Island, quickly selling out and reaching outrageous resell prices.  Those prices were brought down dramatically by the wider re-release of the colorway in 2010.  The shoes pay tribute to the sand and water of Jones Beach in Long Island, NY.

MATERIALS: The swoosh and middle and upper rear are leather, the rest is canvas.  These have a white midsole with matching stitching and a clear blue outsole.  They come with offwhite and blue flat laces.
FEATURES: These have artwork on the rear leather portion, say "JONES BEACH" on the tongue tag and have a special design on the insole and bottom (showing through the clear sole).
STREET VALUE: $125-150
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are very comfortable. As with most Forces, these give you another half inch or so of height.  They probably won't crease as fast as other AF1s on the toebox but the shoe is all light canvas so the wearer will have to beware of dirt contacting the upper.  Remember to clean the clear sole after every wear, mind your environment, and these should stay relatively new looking for a while.  These come off like a summer shoe but really work any time of year when the sun is out and even work in a business casual setting.
