Stuffed tongue? Check. Tongue straps? Check. Fat oval laces? Check. SB on the tongue? Nope! Here we have another example of the low pro line that emerged just before the SB dunk took over. Technically (by the box tag) these are low pro's, but they have all of the characteristics of most pro b's, including the higher placement of the tongue straps. This pair released in 2002.
MATERIALS: The uppers are all leather. These sport a white midsole with matching stitching and a gum outsole. They come with gray sb laces.
FEATURES: These have no special features and get their name from the colorway.
STREET VALUE: $120-145
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are fairly comfortable if not a bit snug. With these kinds of low pros and pro b's, there is always a judgment call about whether to cut the tongue straps. If you never plan on selling them and they bother you that much, you might as well chop them, but I usually leave them intact. These are definitely going to get creases all over but will also be simple to clean with a quick wipedown. Be aware that the sole will need to be cleaned after every wear to preserve the vibrancy of the color. These are basically a winter shoe with the dark colors and clearly go well with any gray top.
