Done as a collaboration with clothing brand Triumvir and released as a quickstrike in early 2009, these shoes are said to represent Beijing, China. Before they dropped, there was a high amount of anticipation, followed by a somewhat average reception. Although not the most coveted of quickstrike dunks by collectors, these are still a solid add for any collection and can fetch above retail for DS or very clean pairs.
MATERIALS: The uppers are all leather with contrast stitching on the swoosh. They have a gray midsole with black stitching and outsole. My pair came with white and gray sb laces.
FEATURES: These have a special print on the insole. A print representing the Beijing Highway is seen on the strap/wing/lower rear and eyelets of the shoe. They also feature a stamp on the inner ankle lining across from the size tag said to represent skating towards Tienanmen Square.
STREET VALUE: $125-150
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are very comfortable. They will definitely crease on the toebox, but the shoe will clean easily with a quick wipedown of soap and water seeing as the uppers are all leather. These are a basic winter shoe with the mostly black uppers, with the white adding some pop. I've had most success sporting these with a black tee and some dark gray or blue jeans.
