SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK MID SB "BATMAN"

2008 saw the release of a few superhero-related dunks.  Here we have the Batman edition, which sold slowly initially, but like many sb's are now hard to find in deadstock condition.  My personal take is that these present a more affordable way to own a pair of shoes in the "lightning" colorway.
shout out to skateworks in downtown santa cruz!
MATERIALS: The toebox and panel around the swoosh are griptape material, the swoosh is leather and the rest is suede.  These have a gray midsole and stitching and a black outsole. They come with black and yellow sb laces.
FEATURES: These are similar in color to the DC hero's costume - moreso the recent film versions.
STREET VALUE: $120-150
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: The shoes are very, very comfortable. Creasing is bound to occur eventually on the toebox, but since the dunk is mostly dark colors, it should look fresh even when slightly dirty.  Just keep liquids away from the suede and you're good for a while with these.  I broke out a gray and white tee and some jeans and went with the black laces for work, which mellows the shoe out.  However, these could be rocked with a yellow tee and shorts, provided you have the right shade of yellow on the tee and the lightning laces in, which gives these shoes a bit more "pop".

Thanks for reading this review! Don't forget to check out some of my older articles as well as my personal shoe sale website (consisting of kicks from my collection, many of which I've reviewed) at www.kickitfresh.com (sizes 9.5-10.5).
