NIKE AIR FORCE 1 "YOTD 3"

This is the third in the series of Year of the Dragon AF1's.  They feature dragon scale texturing on the uppers, iridescent accents and special graphics on the insole and tongue tag.

Year of the Snake means snakeskin everything!  These AF1's are no exception, but they opt for a nice dark atomic teal representation of the theme.  These released alongside a similar blue pair.

The original Brainwreck dunk high sb's killed my feet, so even though I liked them, I wound up selling them off.  I still wanted the colorway - enter this AF1 ID based off the color scheme of the original Todd Bratrud-designed dunks.

AIR FORCE 1 "JONES BEACH"

These shoes pay tribute to the sand and water of Jones Beach and had a very limited release in 2009 in shops in and around Long Island, quickly selling out and reaching outrageous resell prices.  Those prices were brought down dramatically by the wider re-release of the colorway in 2010.  They feature artwork on the rear leather portion, say "JONES BEACH" on the tongue tag and have a special design on the insole and bottom (showing through the clear sole).

AIR FORCE 1 ID "SOUTH BEACH"

Last time I rocked the AF1 ID South Beach, I had in hot pink laces.  This time I swapped the laces to a similar-yet-different infrared shade.

AIR FORCE 1 "YEAR OF THE DRAGON"

Here we have the first YOTD Air Force 1, a Tier Zero release.  The shoe features a special graphic on the tongue tag and insole as well as lasering all around the upper and an inside/out midsole.

AIR FORCE 1 ASG "HOLLYWOOD"

Here we have a pair of AF1s that released alongside a few other pairs to commemorate the 2011 All Star Game.  This pair is said to represent the glitz of Hollywood, since the games were in Los Angeles that year.  They feature a special "LA" graphic on the insole and tongue tag and an embroidered design on the rear of the shoe.

These released as part of the "embroidery pack", a set of three AF1s with stitched double swooshes.  Clearly, they are meant as an alternative to the "fireberry" colorways Nike has released on many models around the same time as these, utilizing the same dark blue, grey and hot pink color scheme.

AIR FORCE 1 "YEAR OF THE DRAGON 2"

Here we have a second version of the YOTD AF1s, certainly more colorful and eye-catching than their black and white predecessors.  From the scale print on the suede parts of the upper to the prints on the tongue and insole to the Chinese characters on the back, the shoe really takes in a lot of elements of the dragon theme and is said to be based on Chinese dragon boats.

MATERIALS: The blue parts are leather, the red parts are a dragonscale-textured suede, the swoosh is metallic gold-painted leather, the tongue is a cloth basketweave and the midsole is wrapped in leather.
COMES WITH:  These come with a special pull out box with a dragon-imprinted plastic outer-wrap, a "XXX" set of lacelocks to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the AF1, a blue set of laces and a red set.
STREET VALUE: $200.  I got my pair from Bows and Arrows in Berkeley!
