These released as part of the "embroidery pack", a set of three AF1s with stitched double swooshes.  Clearly, they are meant as an alternative to the "fireberry" colorways Nike has released on many models around the same time as these, utilizing the same dark blue, grey and hot pink color scheme.

AIR FORCE 1 "YEAR OF THE DRAGON 2"

Here we have a second version of the YOTD AF1s, certainly more colorful and eye-catching than their black and white predecessors.  From the scale print on the suede parts of the upper to the prints on the tongue and insole to the Chinese characters on the back, the shoe really takes in a lot of elements of the dragon theme and is said to be based on Chinese dragon boats.

MATERIALS: The blue parts are leather, the red parts are a dragonscale-textured suede, the swoosh is metallic gold-painted leather, the tongue is a cloth basketweave and the midsole is wrapped in leather.
COMES WITH:  These come with a special pull out box with a dragon-imprinted plastic outer-wrap, a "XXX" set of lacelocks to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the AF1, a blue set of laces and a red set.
STREET VALUE: $200.  I got my pair from Bows and Arrows in Berkeley!

AIR FORCE 1 ID "SOUTH BEACH"

I'm borderline about to stop buying new releases altogether and start making Nike ID's all the time.  The materials are better and I get a truly unique shoe, unless someone goes so far as to copy my design directly.  Here we have a pair that I customized based off of the Lebron 8 South Beach colorway, but I wanted to have options, so the only pink is on the laces.  If I swap to white, black, or blue laces instead, the look is transformed completely.

COMES WITH: I got these with infrared and chlorine blue laces, both have metal tips.  I've swapped them out here for hot pink to complete the SB look.  These also include a special shoebox and paper along with the AF1 certificate of authenticity.

AIR FORCE 1 "HAMPTONS"

Here we have another pair of AF1s dedicated to an area in NY.  If you're on Long Island, and you go to the far east end, you will have reached the Hamptons, well known for having extremely expensive residential properties.  Although the kicks have not shot up in value since their release, they are definitely a step up from your normal coke whites and a perfect summer shoe.  The shoes feature a different logo on the tongue tag and a special print on the insole and showing through the outsole.

MATERIALS: These are all leather with perforated leather surrounding the swoosh and on the upper rear.  They also feature leather on the liner around the ankle.  The midsole itself is perforated as well.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR FORCE 1 "ASG HOLLYWOOD"

Three Air Force 1's released to commemorate the 2011 NBA All-Star Game, each representing an area of Los Angeles.  These are said to be based off of Hollywood, hence the glitzy colorway.  Like many AF1s, regardless if they were highly anticipated or not, I still saw a couple of pairs floating around at an outlet a couple of months after they released.  Still, these are a dope shoe and a bit of an upgrade from standard white on white Air Force Ones.

A LOOK BACK - AIR FORCE 1 "3M SWOOSH"

Now that it's sunny out, I can have some real fun rocking all my 3M kicks and watching them bling!   Although this is just a pair of GR AF1s, they are still a dope shoe due to the pewter outsole and reflective swoosh.  Definitely a subtle way to turn heads in a way that a passerby wouldn't be able to quite put their finger on until they got a closer look.  Check out some pics below and my original review here.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR FORCE 180 "BUMBLEBEE"

The Air Force 180 was one of many different shoes that Charles Barkley wore during his basketball career.  This 2008 retro is a newer colorway.  They are also known as the "Wu-Tang" 180's, as black and yellow color combos can usually be assigned this nickname.  Although the look of this model is nice, this retro was not insanely popular with collectors (I picked up a ridiculously inexpensive pair at an outlet).

A LOOK BACK - AIR FORCE 1 "BLACK ICE"

After so many nice, sunny days here on the central California coast, the forecast again calls for rain.  When issues like this arise, there's nothing better than a pair of black on black AF1's that won't get ruined by a little water.  Did I make a good wet weather choice?  Check out the pics below and my original review here.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR FORCE 1 "BE TRUE"

Recently, Nike teamed up with longtime collaborator Futura to create a bunch of different shoes and apparel.  One series amidst all of these releases is called "Be True", which includes a bunch of Syracuse Orangemen related gear, a dunk high, and some AF1's in various cuts including this perforated pair of lows.  Aside from the perforated pattern on the uppers, these have an atypical font on the lacelocks, Futura's signature on the tongue tag, a pattern design on the insole, "Be True" scripted on the bottom of the shoe (showing through the clear sole), and metal aglets.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR FORCE 1 "GUCCI"

At one point, there were plenty of fake Air Force 1's decked out with Gucci print on ebay.  Nowadays however, the nickname "Gucci" usually signifies a black/red/green/white colorway when applied to sneakers.  Otherwise, this is a pretty ordinary pair of Ones.  Resale shouldn't jump too high on these, so rock 'em fearlessly when it gets rainy out!

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR FORCE 1 "JONES BEACH"

These shoes had a very limited release in 2009 in shops in and around Long Island, quickly selling out and reaching outrageous resell prices.  Those prices were brought down dramatically by the wider re-release of the colorway in 2010.  The shoes pay tribute to the sand and water of Jones Beach in Long Island, NY.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 "3M SWOOSH"

This pair stood out to me because it's basically the classic white on white but with a few special augmentations like 3M and the swirly pewter outsole.

INFO - AIR FORCE 1 "BLACK ICE"

These dropped this year and at first glance might be mistaken for the Space Jam themed AF1's that also came out around the same time, but these have no patent leather on them. Like most simply-colored AF1s, these might not be huge with collectors now, but may be appreciated for their wearability and versatility later on.  They get their name from the dark yet clear sole.
