A confusing shoe, this pair shares a nickname with another, more well-known pair that released earlier thanks to the colorway. Still, these have a completely different look than the other Freshwaters and were nearly as anticipated when they dropped. If you still have trouble telling them apart, you can also refer to these as Emeralds due to the larger distribution of the Freshwater blue color on the uppers.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR GRIFFEY MAX 1 "FRESHWATER"
Similar to Penny Hardaway, baseball player Ken Griffey Jr. had sig shoes of his own such as this model before injuries altered his career. This 2009 retro was highly anticipated and snapped up quickly upon its release alongside an Air Max 95 with a similar colorway.
SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR MAX 95 "FRESHWATER"
While a newer colorway than some recent popular retros, this 2009 pair of AM95s really took off! It might have something to do with the popular use of the Freshwater color on the Air Max Griffey Jr. retro that released around the same time, but regardless, these shoes are a dope pickup for anybody that's into 95s.
