Here we have the second dunk in a series of Japan exclusives. This pair released in 2003 alongside an Air Max 1 and Trainer with the same colorway. Shima shima means "stripe stripe" in Japanese, which is represented on the interior of the shoe as well as on the tag lettering.
MATERIALS: The uppers are all suede, with a green-speckled tan midsole and a brown outsole. My pair came with brown sb laces.
FEATURES: These feature a vertical thin-thick alternating stripe pattern on the interior around the ankle as well as a special print on the interior and tongue tag.
STREET VALUE: $160
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are very comfortable and have materials that rival suede silver box dunk sb highs. Clearly you'll need to watch the materials on these, keeping them dry and clean, but you probably won't have to worry about creasing. Brown can be a little tough to match, especially with the different shades used, so I opt for the classic white tee and jeans to round out the fit.
