SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK LOW SB "BROWN GOLF"

Released in 2006, the dunk sb golf pack came in both brown and blue colorways, both which take inspiration from a golf shoe. Today, we are looking at the brown golfs.

Here's a picture of them on foot:

MATERIALS: The shoe is pretty much leather all over. The midsole is off white/tan, with the same color stitching and a brown outsole. The laces are yellow to match the swoosh and pink to match the lettering on the tongue tag.
FEATURES: The shoe came with removable golf flaps to complete the golf theme. There are also only six laceholes instead of seven on these dunks. In addition, there are perforations in a pattern around the edges of the brown areas of the shoe. Finally, there is an argyle pattern on the upper heel where the word NIKE normally would appear.
STREET VALUE: 100-150
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: Could just be me, but the leather on the brown golfs feels just a bit softer than that of their blue counterparts. The golf flaps were immediately removed and these broke in well and have a comfortable fit if not a tad roomy. The toebox creases easily as does the rest of the shoe. Since the shoe is all leather, it is fairly easy to clean - I've even worn it in the rain (maybe THAT'S why the leather feels softer...)! The light colored lace choices included make it a little easier to wear in the summer, drawing more attention to the lighter areas of the uppers. You could probably swap in your own dark brown laces to give these a more serious look. Either way, you definitely can rock these with confidence in a business casual type setting.
