By request, today's shoe up for review is the Nike Dunk Mid SB "Clubber Lang". These released in 2008 and the colorway is said to be based off the boxing trunks that Mr. T (aka Clubber Lang) wore in the movie Rocky III.
Here's a picture of them on foot:
MATERIALS: The light blue parts are suede, white parts are leather, the gold parts are a pebbled leather. The tongue tag is red and gold, the midsole is light blue with gold stitching, with a gum outsole. The shoes come with both white and light blue laces.
FEATURES: I'd say the most polarizing aspect of these is the gold on the shoes uppers and strap. Many considered this portion of the shoe to be "off" colorwise. Many however think it adds style and pop to the shoes. One way of looking at it is as the more affordable little brother of another famous and very expensive white, blue, and gold dunk sb high.
STREET VALUE: Stores sell these for around $120, resale is around retail among private sellers
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These fit true to size and are pretty comfortable right out of the box. The toebox is white leather, this is a number one crease magnet so be warned and tread carefully. The light blue suede is succeptable to water staines and this and the gum sole will both get dingy after a few wears. This shoe's colors make for a great shoe for the spring and summer, perfect with a white tee and any color jeans or even khakis. The gold elements might help the wearer pull off the shoes at other times of the year as well but this is primarily a shoe for sunny hot weather.
