SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK LOW SB "NEWCASTLE"

The first sb yours truly ever bought!  Arguably the best general release gold box dunk of 2008, these shoes drew a lot of attention after the hype surrounding the last beer-related sb dunk, the Heinekens.  Although they haven't gotten close to that level of value among sneakerheads, the Newcastles are now very tough to find deadstock for retail or less.

MATERIALS:  The swoosh and upper heel are leather, the rest is a short-haired suede/super soft nubuck material.  These have a yellow midsole with brown stitching and outsole.  They come with white and red sb laces, swapped to blue here.
FEATURES: These are a fairly featureless except the colorway which is nearly an exact match to the label of a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale.  These also have the rarely seen (on a dunk sb) double swoosh.
STREET VALUE: $110-135
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are very, very comfortable. The toebox might not crease for a while, but a main problem with the shoe is that the material shows dirt and water stains very easily.  Being near paranoid about your surroundings is probably the key to keeping these looking clean.  The shoe is basically a spring shoe with the mostly yellow color scheme, however the brown and blue open it up to fall and summer wear as well.
