This is the third Kobe VI I've reviewed. This colorway came out during/just before the 2011 NBA playoffs. Although the Lakers would not go on to win ring #6, that doesn't stop this from being a solid colorway and a no-brainer for any fan of Kobe's shoe line.
MATERIALS: Rubbery scales and a plasticky material cover the flywire uppers while the white areas on the rear are leather. The midsole is black and the sole is black, white and yellow. These come with white laces.
FEATURES: These are featureless for Kobes; POP stands for play off pack.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are comfortable. Much like other Kobes, they might crease eventually but also clean up really easily. I'd pay special attention to the white uppers and the white leather in the back as well as the outsole; keeping these areas clean should keep the shoe looking fresh. I broke these out with a white top, although a black or yellow shirt would have worked just as well.
Thanks for reading this review! Don't forget to check out some of my older articles as well as my personal shoe sale website (consisting of kicks from my collection, many of which I've reviewed) at www.kickitfresh.com (sizes 9.5-10.5).
