SNEAKER REVIEW - LEBRON 8 "VETERAN'S DAY"

These released alongside some Kobe V's in the same colorway.  This pair is fairly featureless for Lebrons and gets its name from the patriotic colorway and in-game debut near the actual holiday.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR JORDAN V "INDEPENDENCE DAY"

Well, this is probably the corniest pair of shoes I could have chosen to wear this 4th of July, but I couldn't help it.  Jordan Brand clearly timed this 2011 release to coincide with the one day in America where it's pretty much mandatory to wear the patriotic red, white and blue.  These dropped recently to moderate fanfare; most Jordan aficionados are probably put off by the patent leather, however material choice is not a game killer for me when it comes to V's.

SNEAKER REVIEW - ZOOM KOBE VI "DRAFT DAY"

Now a yearly release, this colorway is based off of the uniform colors of the then-Charlotte based team that selected Kobe as their draft pick.  I've pretty much said all I care to say on the Kobe VI, as this is my fifth review on the shoe.  This is by no means a limited color makeup but is a definite good look if you are into the VI.

A LOOK BACK - ZOOM KOBE V VETERAN'S DAY

Occasionally, nature intervenes with what can be a sneakerhead's worst enemy - rain.  Also, sometimes I just want to wear a pair more than once!  While I'll always have new shoes to review, it is for these reasons that I'll be adding a new "A Look Back" feature that reexamines a shoe I've previously reviewed from a more artistic aspect with updated on-foot pictures.  Today, due to thunderstorms I've chosen the Veteran's Day ZKV, which makes a nice, easy to clean rain shoe.  You can find my original review with details here.

SNEAKER REVIEW - ZOOM KOBE IV "DRAFT DAY"

These shoes are meant to pay homage to the day that the Hornets selected Kobe as their draft pick.  The colorway is definitely based off of the uniform colors of the then-Charlotte based team.  Similar to the DMP Jordan VII's, these actually released with an error on them regarding one of the features of the shoe!
