INFO - LEBRON 8 V2 "ALL STAR"
As is typical of special Lebron releases of the last two years, this pair had a lot of buildup before they dropped, and quickly sold out. The shoe did have a surprise restock or two, but even then they went quick! Something about the gradient just makes these stand out amongst the ASG releases from 2011. These also feature a special print on the insole and detailing on the laces near the toe.
A LOOK BACK - LEBRON 8 V2 "SUMMIT LAKE"
Still drizzly out. Nice "summer" we're having. Anyway, broke these out. They can take some hits from the water and still look fresh! Check out a couple pics below (click to enlarge) and my original review here.
SNEAKER REVIEW - LEBRON 8 "VETERAN'S DAY"
These released alongside some Kobe V's in the same colorway. This pair is fairly featureless for Lebrons and gets its name from the patriotic colorway and in-game debut near the actual holiday.
INFO - LEBRON 8 V2 "HOME"
If you've read any of my other LBJ 8 V2 reviews, you already know the deal with this shoe. Although the V1 already saw a Home colorway, we have a mostly white V2 as well, purposed for Miami Heat home games, that any fans of Bron's kicks are going to need to complete their sets. As per, these are known for their extreme cloudlike cushioning and
comfort. You may get creasing on the white midsole and around the
toebox, as well as yellowing on the patent leather, but the shoe will
clean up easily with a quick wipe off at the end of the day.
LEBRON 8 V2 "SUMMIT LAKE"
Similar to the Navy/Yankee V2s, we have here another general release pair of LBJVIII. This colorway has not seen the success of the South Beach, Christmas or Entourage editions, but are still nice and will probably be tougher to find as retailers sell out. They are supposedly based off of the uniform color scheme of Lebron's childhood rec league basketball team, the Summit Lake Hornets.
SNEAKER REVIEW - LEBRON 8 V2 "NAVY"
This pair of Lebrons seems to be largely slept on in terms of colorways of the sneaker, probably because it isn't as limited as some other more well known color combos. Make no mistake though, this pair has all the style and comfort of its more sought after brethren. Supposedly based off of the uniform colorway of the New York Yankees, the shoe will definitely become harder to obtain as pairs eventually dry up online.
LEBRON 8 V2 "COOL GRAY"
The V2 is an evolution of the Lebron 8 that weighs less and has more breathability, supposedly to help further improve Lebron's game during the second half of the 2010-11 season. While the 8 is fairly successful, the V2 takes it to another level, with most of the colorways being sought after, and half of those being limited as well. This particular pair is named after the colorway.
SNEAKER REVIEW - LEBRON 8 "HOME"
Initially an online-only release, this shoe is also known as the Un-China's after their similarity to the "China" colorway that released around the same time overseas. The Lebron 8 is definitely a step forward in comfort from the LBJVII although some sneakerheads disagree as to whether the shoe's aesthetics lend itself well to decent colorblocking. Either way these are a good look on foot and I highly recommend getting at least one colorway of this model.
