AIR JORDAN IV "MILITARY"

Here we have a re-release of this OG colorway, which had previously retro'd in 2006.  Military IV's have always been a divisive colorway - many are not feeling the offwhite upper while others feel it is essential to the look of this shoe.  The blue on this version seems to be a tad lighter than that of the '06 release.

DUNK LOW SB "ROYAL SILVER"

Here we have a spring release with a colorway that seems to reach back to the earlier days of Nike SB in terms of fresh and straightforward blocking and design.  The materials and shape are of course in the newer style of dunk sb but overall these are nice and get their name from the colorway.

AIR MAX '97 SILVER BULLET

These are supposedly inspired by a high speed Japanese bullet train, although they could also simply be a sleeker evolution of such groundbreaking models as the Air Max '95.  Of note on this model are the completely visible full length air units.  Here we have arguably the most popular colorway, so when a slew of retros released, these had to be among them!

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR JORDAN II "SILVER ANNIVERSARY"

The Air Jordan 2 is definitely a polarizing model; although similar enough to later Jordans, it has a different look to it that seems to elicit a strong positive or negative response.  I never really liked the II, but to me, the Silver Anniversary colorway suits the silhouette best and makes the shoe rockable.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR JORDAN IX "SILVER ANNIVERSARY"

These came out in 2010 alongside a few other mostly white models for the 25th anniversary of Air Jordans.  Several other IX's released that year, but these only dropped at certain stores.  Although they initially sat online, they now typically command more than retail in deadstock condition.

AIR JORDAN IV "MILITARY"

Military IV's are an OG colorway, although here we have a pair of retros that released 17 years after the originals.  These are featureless for Jordan IV's and get their name from the colorway.

AIR JORDAN XI "SILVER ANNIVERSARY"

These released as part of the Air Jordan Silver Anniversary series which also included 3s, 4s, 9s and some other models that were not released to the general public.  Being 11's, there was a lot of hype leading up to the drop followed by a quick sell out of the shoe.  Eventually more pairs became available, lowering the average value of this shoe as compared to other XI's.  Unlike other colorways of this model, these lack a jumpman logo on the upper outer rear, however They do feature a shiny quilted interior similar to the Anniversary IX.

MATERIALS:  The shiny parts are patent leather, the upper/middle rear is leather, and the the rest is a thick mesh material.

A LOOK BACK - 1/2 CENT "SILVER"

As water continues to get dumped on top of the central California coast, I must continue to not rock suede or any overly valuable kicks.  Hence, out comes the silver half cents.  These make surprisingly good rain shoes, as long as you don't step in any puddles.  If it's just rain hitting the top of the shoe, your feet will stay warm and dry, but if a concentrated amount of water seeps in through the tongue, your feet will still get soaked.  I just found this out the hard way.  Anyway, check the pics below and my original review with details here.

SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR JORDAN III "SILVER ANNIVERSARY"

This pair supposedly released only on the West Coast as well as online.  As with the Silver Anniversary IVs that dropped at the same time, these J's are simply retros of the Pure Money version of the shoes that released in 2007.  The originals were somewhat popular when they released, but resale value of them is low because the shoes tend to get dirty looking very quickly.  These feature "Pure $" embroidered beneath the pull tab in addition to the special print on the laces.

SNEAKER REVIEW - 1/2 CENT "SILVER"

Done initially as a tribute to Penny Hardaway (and Lil Penny), the half cent is a hybrid of various Penny signature shoes from the 90's. The royal half cents were a big hit, and a new line was born that would see several different colorways release, although none with the success of the royals.  Here we have a metallic silver colorway of the shoe.

NIKE DUNK LOW SB "BUCK"

Another silver box classic, these shoes pay tribute to Nike founder Phil Knight.  The colors represent the University of Oregon where he ran track.  Phil Knight's nickname at the time was "Buck", after his father.  These would make it to the US after an initial drop overseas, and feature the word "BUCK" where "NIKE" would normally appear on the upper heel.

DUNK LOW SB "BRONCOS"

Classic lows from the silver box era, these are worth more than retail but are still relatively inexpensive for an older pair of sb's.  While also known as the "Reverse Supa" and "Knicks" sb lows, most refer to them under the Broncos moniker after their similarity to the Denver football team's colors.  These have the thinner tongue characteristic of silver box sb lows.
