This year, several Jordan IX's were released and there were some original colorways, retros, retros of retros, etc. This particular pair is a new colorway, although in the tradition of most IX's, the blocking is very simple.
Here's a picture of them on foot:
MATERIALS: The bulk of the shoe is black leather with the exception of the space in between the uppers and the midsole and around the ankle which are kind of a "sparkly" soft leathery material of some sort. The shoes feature a black midsole with a white outsole and come with black laces.
FEATURES: My pair did not come with a retro card. These IX's get their nickname from the colorway; the citrus color appears in select hints around the inner ankle, on the various jumpmans around the shoe, and the "AIR JORDAN" on the tongue.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These fairly comfortable right out of the box. They are a little heavy and slightly narrow around the toebox. The thickness of the leather on the toebox might slow down creasing, but will not fully prevent it. The non-sparkly areas of the shoe will clean up easily, but be careful around the sparkly part, no one I know has tried to clean it yet. If the black shiny midsole gets scuffed, you may see some of that black paint come off, so tread cautiously when around a group of people or while walking in a narrow area. This shoe is pretty much an autumn/winter shoe, its a bit dark and bootlike to sport in the sunnier months. Matching these with a black tee would be the easy way to rock these, finding a yellowish orange to match the citrus might prove tougher but could open these up for rocking in the summer.
