SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK HIGH SB "BRAIN WRECK"

As far as I know, this is the fifth shoe skate artist Todd Bratrud has done with Nike. The shoe released last year as a collab with Familia Skateshop along with a bunch of apparel. These were highly sought after before they dropped (one of those cases where when they finally came out they were a lot different than the samples that had been previewed), however a little while after the release the hype seemed to settle down. Still not a very common shoe to see around town, that's for sure!

Here's a picture of them on foot:MATERIALS: The gray uppers are all suede except the swoosh which is a sparkly leather. The pink parts are shiny leather. They have a white midsole with gray stitching and a black outsole. My pair came with gray and teal sb laces.
FEATURES: The main features on the shoe are the words "BRAIN" and "WRECK" appearing on the rear of the left and right shoe, respectively. The interior ankle is lined with "brain" cushioning and the insole features a print graphic.
STREET VALUE: $150 give or take
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These are somewhat comfortable, requiring a lengthy break-in period. The toebox will definitely crease after a wear or two. Keep that gray suede clean and dry and the shoe will still look decent though. Water spots are a definite possibility on these, so avoid wearing them in the rain. The tongue on these is a little wierd, it tends to "crinkle" rather than flex the way a mesh or non-coated leather tongue would. This shoe is definitely affected by lace choice; the gray laces are a good look for winter or when worn with pants or a plainer top, whereas the blue laces are better for shorts or paired with a crazier t-shirt.
