SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK LOW SB "SUPERMAN"

Some lump these with the Spiderman, Batman, and Venom sb's, although these released much later and lack the yellow present in Superman's uniform. Not really looked for by collectors, these dunks have been making regular appearances at outlet stores and sales racks. Most attribute the lack of excitement over the shoe to the thin tongue, odd colorblocking and overproduction, but the simple construction, colorway and somewhat nice quality of the suede in my opinion make these slept on. All in all a good release that can be had on the cheap; one would do well to remember that many now valuable and rare Nikes started off shunned by collectors.
MATERIALS: The swoosh, side panel, toebox, and upper rear of the shoe are all leather, the rest of the uppers are soft suede. They have a white midsole with blue stitching and a red outsole. They came with blue and white sb laces.
FEATURES: These have no special features; these are named after the similarity in color to superman's uniform.
STREET VALUE: retail or less
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These fit a little tight at first but after a few minutes break in pretty well. The toebox will crease quickly and the suede can get dingy and bleed if it gets too wet, so avoid getting too much water on these. Clean these using dry methods before resulting to a wet cleaner. These basically are a summer shoe, perfect for fourth of July, but because the only white is on the toebox, midsole and upper rear, these can be worn in other seasons when the white laces are swiped out to blue or some other color. Leave the white laces in for Spring or Summer wear
