SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK LOW SB "RAMEN"

Also known as the Orange Hemps, these released in late 2009 and are one of the few sb's out there to employ the combination of materials used.  Although the thin tongue would deter many collectors from picking these up, the Ramens may just wind up being a future classic with sneakerheads.

MATERIALS: The orange and red parts are suede, the swoosh is leather and the rest is hemp. The midsole is orange with black stitching and a brown outsole.  These came with orange and brown sb laces, switched out to black sb laces here.
FEATURES: The shoe has a speckled interior on the brown part of the liner and is said to represent a box of Top Ramen noodles.
STREET VALUE: retail
MY NOTES ON ACTUALLY WEARING THESE: These shoes are comfortable after a short break-in period. There might be mild creasing on the toebox, but the real thing to watch for is the hemp material getting dingy or ripped and of course dirt and/or water spots on the suede.  Although these seem rugged the wearer should actually use caution and be aware of their surroundings when rocking these.  I'd say these are fall shoes given the colors used, but as with many autumn kicks, these work in winter as well.
