SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR JORDAN II "SILVER ANNIVERSARY"
The Air Jordan 2 is definitely a polarizing model; although similar enough to later Jordans, it has a different look to it that seems to elicit a strong positive or negative response. I never really liked the II, but to me, the Silver Anniversary colorway suits the silhouette best and makes the shoe rockable.
SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK HIGH "SHIMA SHIMA 2"
Here we have the second dunk in a series of Japan exclusives. This pair released in 2003 alongside an Air Max 1 and Trainer with the same colorway. Shima shima means "stripe stripe" in Japanese, which is represented on the interior of the shoe as well as on the tag lettering.
SNEAKER REVIEW - DUNK MID SB "TOKYO II"
I feel like I've reviewed nearly every dunk mid there is! However, there's one pair which I'm a little hesitant to wear without first confirming perfect weather conditions. That would be this limited 2008 release, the Tokyo II. This shoe bears a very similar colorway to the city series Tokyo low, except these are a mid and come with black hits instead of a gum sole. The shoe sold out quickly and as you can imagine is tough to find in good shape.
SNEAKER REVIEW - AIR PENNY 2 "MIAMI HEAT"
I have one other pair of these. I only like two colorways on the shoe because otherwise I'd have a lot more; the model itself is dope and very comfortable! This particular pair is a newer color scheme that released in 2008.
SNEAKER REVIEW - PAUL RODRIGUEZ 2 "GUCCI"
Yet another black shoe with red and green accents, these were immediately dubbed the Gucci-rods due to the colorway. Since the value doesn't really escalate with P-Rod 2's, these might make a good substitute for your RESN'S if it's raining out!
AIR TECH CHALLENGE 2 "HOT LAVA"
Back in the 1990's, Nike sponsored athlete Andre Agassi was known for his skill in tennis as well as his mullet. While he would later shave the hair, his shoes would retain classic 1990's styling. These retros are very close in appearance to the originals of one of the models he sported back in the day, which personally remind me a bit of the Air Jordan IV. The shoes get their name from the official colorway.
DUNK LOW SB "TAKASHI 2"
These gold box dunks came out in collaboration with Takashi Hosokawa. Similar to another pair he designed in 2003, these are mostly black with a metallic colored swoosh (the earlier release having a gold swoosh). Here, the print on the tongue tag is glittery silver and there is a design of
flowers and vines lasered along the wing/lower rear of the shoe.YEAR OF RELEASE: 2007
STYLE CODE: 313170 005
MATERIALS: The toebox, area around the swoosh, and middle rear above the wing are all suede, the metallic swoosh and upper rear are a plastic/patent leather kind of material and the rest is leather.
COMES WITH: They come with gray and black sb laces.
STREET VALUE: $140-175. I got my pair from premierskateboarding.com!
SNEAKER REVIEW - PAUL RODRIGUEZ 2 HIGH "JORDAN"
There were not many P-Rod 2 highs (3 that I can think of). However, this pair is pretty fresh and is one of the only PR2's that have elephant print. This combined with the colors on the shoe are very reminscent of color/material combos used on various early model Jordans.
SNEAKER REVIEW - PAUL RODRIGUEZ 2 "SUPREME"
One of Nike's key signature skaters, P-Rod has dropped several shoes in his line of sneakers. Here we have the second iteration, this particular release being the last P-Rod 2 ever produced. Though the II never really caught on with collectors, they are well known for extreme comfort and some pretty dope colorways.
